Yacht Sentinel

Yacht Sentinel is a smart vessel monitoring solution designed to give yacht owners peace of mind through real-time tracking, remote diagnostics, and onboard system alerts. Built with precision for the maritime industry, the platform enables users to monitor their yacht’s location, battery levels, bilge status, and more — all from a single mobile dashboard. This project was completed for Stationezy on 5th September 2022 and is based in Monaco.

How I Start This Project

The project started with a focus on modernizing yacht security and maintenance through IoT-driven insights. After analyzing pain points in legacy systems, we collaborated with the client to outline a lightweight, secure, and intuitive interface. Key goals included minimizing false alerts, integrating GPS and sensor data, and delivering a user-friendly mobile experience for yacht owners across international waters.

Challenge on this Project

  • Ensuring reliable connectivity between the yacht’s onboard systems and the cloud, even in remote locations.
  • Designing a low-latency notification system for critical alerts like theft or flooding.
  • Implementing multi-device support while maintaining strict security protocols.
  • Creating a modular backend to easily add or update sensors over time.
